Room 22 - LUCIANO PERA

"In the creative Luciano Pera seems to be in a space-time dimension that places him at the center of a cosmological entity from which captures memories indefinite anthropomorphic presences and historical layers that represent the figure of a creative impulse and instinctive visionary. The artist elaborates charms and carrying meanings in painting, graphics and sculpture references structural biological, anthropological, archaic and primitive. Suggestions and information received and snatched the cultures of the past are now developing in highly dynamic elements where the data is deliberately brought to the symbolic representation of the scene as a determining factor for the understanding of the work. The involvement that results is radical and substantial. The original meaning of the find primitive votive undergoes , in the work of Pera, a transmutation of evocations, reaching the solemnity of the message, grotesque and ironic references that played down the sanctity of the idol that inspired the artist as Venus rouge, Le Grand Penitent, The Gardienne des étoiles, Crocodonna, Femme masque, where the sacred feminine symbols become decorative elements."
